Final Fantasy Resonance Mechabo Tackle: Unlock & Upgrade Route
Unlock Mechabo Tackle through Verun’s upgrade quest. Find the required monsters and distinguish the repair, Evolved and Unleashed stages.
Mechabo Tackle is an early reward in Mechabo Evolved, not the final Unleashed upgrade. Repair Mechabo first, then bring Verun the parts from three dhorme chimerae northeast of Grandport.
Repair first: Arise, Mechabo!
In Chapter 2, speak to Verun at the Dwarven Forge on Dirnado. The repair request asks you to defeat two Ipoohs near the forge and bring back the repair parts. Finish the hand-in before looking for the Tackle upgrade.
Get Tackle, then work through Evolved
The quest record starts in Chapter 2, but later materials come from regions reached further into the story. It is not a promise that the whole chain can be completed immediately.
| Request | Where to look | Upgrade recorded after delivery |
|---|---|---|
| 3 dhorme chimerae | Desert northeast of Grandport | Mechabo Tackle |
| 3 medusae | Southwest of the Dwarven Forge | Overclock |
| 3 destroyers | Western Olderion | Mecha Fat Chocobo |
| 3 sandworms | Southern Zoldaad | Mecha Behemoth |
Return to Verun after each request. Hunting a later monster early is not a substitute for completing the current quest objective. The monster labels above follow the English quest record so you can match them unambiguously.
The later Unleashed requests
The next quest is listed for Chapter 5. Its objectives move the conversations and deliveries onto the airship: three mahadevas on the island west of Mysidia, then three malbodooms in western Gronoa. The recorded improvements are Overclock Zero and Mechamog Scan. Follow the active objective and available region rather than treating the quest’s chapter field as a universal travel unlock.
Tackle is not appearing
Check the repair hand-in, the current Evolved request, and the delivery to Verun. Then inspect Lid’s available Mechabo commands. If you only needed Tackle, you do not need to finish the Chapter 5 chain first. These steps follow the quest records; this site has not reproduced every platform’s quest state.
For the next combat decision, use Best Visions, or return to chapter progress.
