Item-request encounter
Final Fantasy Resonance Citrine Pot: Ether, Locations & MRP
Use an Ether on the pot itself, find the two early encounter areas, and prepare your Visions before collecting the one-time MRP reward.
Choose Ether in the battle item menu and target Citrine Pot itself. Giving the item to an ally restores that ally's MP; it does not complete the pot's request.
Resolve the encounter
- Carry an Ether before investigating the shining pot.
- Enter the encounter and read the requested item.
- Open Items, choose Ether, then move the target from your party to the enemy pot.
- Confirm the item use. The pot leaves and the encounter ends as a victory.
VGC's launch guide documents this item-targeting solution. Repeated attacks are not the route to the reward, even if you change element or use a stronger skill.
Where the early Citrine Pots appear
| Story access | Dungeon |
|---|---|
| Chapter 1 | Siren's Tower |
| Chapter 2 | Mobliz Shipyard |
These are the two early dungeon locations documented by the launch guides. Follow your dungeon exploration and look for the shining pot interaction; the item request is the check that matters once the battle starts.
Prepare before handing over the item
Game8 lists the Citrine reward at 120 base MRP. Equip a Vision that still needs ranks on each relevant member before claiming it. If you have an applicable MRP bonus, equip it first; do not assume an entire party benefits from a single member's accessory.
A successfully completed pot is a one-time encounter. It is not a route where you leave the room and repeatedly collect the same reward. If you lack the item or want to change equipment, withdraw and prepare before completing the request.
Why did it not work?
Check the target first, then the item. Ether used on yourself does not count. Another color of pot may request a different consumable, so read its message rather than applying this early Ether answer to every Magic Pot. For broader growth routes, see MRP farming.
